Operations Research Analyst

Operations Research Analyst wanted for company in Edison, NJ. M.S. in Operations Research or Systems Engineering or Information Systems with one year experience in the job offer to perform the following:

§ Apply interdisciplinary approach and means, using a computer, to develop and interpret information that assists top management with decision making, policy formulation, and managerial functions.

§ Compile and analyze business data to conceptualize and define operational problems. Collaborate with senior managers to solve the problems, and to clarify business objectives.

§ Collaborate with in-house IT team and outside consultants, applying Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), to integrate and improve systems to enhance business operation performance.

§ Manage new products and pricing information from factories/suppliers in Asia. Confer with overseas suppliers to:

o Identify specialties of carrying products.

o Analyze price ranges and quantities.

o Search and select new products

o Explore new marketing resources and channels

o Organize the above information into computer accessible procedures.

§ Study distribution network performance and monitor inventory level to achieve desired delivery time and order fill rate.

Specific skills and other requirements: Quantitative and analytic knowledge which include Optimization/Operation Research; Quantitative Planning Methods; Statistics, Probability; Advanced Stochastic Analysis and Simulation. Computer skills required: MS Office, SAP, SAS, Lindo, AutoCAD
